This is part of a larger post:

Part 1: general information, endorsements, interviews, goods, etc.
Part 2: band information (Hellmetz, Quintillion Quiz)
Part 3 (this part): support information (Hotei/Anna/Gackt/VAMPS/etc)
Part 4: schedule (performances, releases, other events, also livehouse links)

Artists are listed in order of appearance; anything that’s just one or two items is listed under “Other Musical” at the end. For any of the people he’s been regularly touring with, I’m also listing conflicts and non-appearances (at least generally).

Tomoyasu Hotei (布袋寅泰)

  • toured with Hotei & the Wanderers Funky Punky Tour October 2007 – February 2008 (Tour Final Feb. 9 at Budokan)
  • occasionally in the tour blog and backstage info (may not be there much longer; note on HP says tour site closed as of 4/30, link removed from HP, but direct links currently work)
  • in the tour DVD released 2008.04.23 featuring the Jan. 27 show at Kawaguchi Lilia; one of the extras is band member interviews
  • Space Shower TV’s program Music Capsule is featuring the tour and DVD on its April 23 20:30~21:00 show (repeated Apr 26 20:30~21:00)
  • He wasn’t in any of the summer shows (西井慶太 on bass) or at the October special live (ナスノミツル on bass).

Anna Tsuchiya (土屋アンナ)

  • DOCOMO Live Jan 16 (New Year’s party for DOCOMO, not a public performance)
  • in the “Cocoon” PV (single released 2008.01.30)
  • May 14 at an event for Ray-Ban (his blog; probably public, a few Japanese fans mention going)
  • In the PV for“Crazy World feat. AI” (release date 2008.06.11) (blog entries: Ju-ken, Muta); also mentioned recording with Anna at one point, probably for this single
  • June 13, 「僕らの音楽」 #210 (Bokura no Ongaku/Our Music) 土屋アンナ×AI (his blog: 5/11, 5/25; fujitv staff blog 5/10, 5/11, 5/25)
  • June 20 on Music Station
  • July 20, Super Live in Sakurajima 2008 featuring (Tomoyasu Hotei)
  • Aug 9, ALLDAY BLOCK PARTY, Yoyogi Park, Tokyo
  • Aug 16, Soul Mate Festival 2008, National Stadium Corridor, Tokyo
  • Aug 3, Rose Night Sendai at Zepp Sendai; Sept 19, Rose Night Nagoya at Zepp Nagoya; Oct 10, Rose Night Osaka at Zepp Osaka — these are all Monoral, Anna Tsuchiya and more; more information on Monoral’s site (these were the dates that were briefly on his schedule earlier)
  • possibly on her single “Virgin Cat” (2008.09.10); the PV is Anna+dancers, no band; I think he mentioned recording with her after “Crazy World”
  • on some part of her new album (Nudy Show, 2008.10.29); one edition contains a DVD with all PVs and backstage clips and he’s in some of those). The album did not have musician credits on most songs; he is credited as co-writing one song: “Blood on Blood” has music and arrangement by Ju-ken, Masahiro Muta, Kazuma Endo, Masanori Mine (credited in that order) and that’s the only song where he (or any of the rest of them except Mine, who has a credit for guitar on “Crazy World” and is the only musician listed for it) has a performance credit.
  • Nov 14, on Music Station (with Jun-ji on drums)
  • Dec 31 at Shibuya DUO Music Exchange

  • not in the performance televised late Feb/early March (it was the 2007.12.15 show and was a conflict with Hotei); not at her March 1 or 8 performances (a contest prize, not public; were acoustic with Muta and Mine; Muta’s entries: 01, 08); her acoustic shows seem to be Muta+Mine only; I think there were one or two others over the summer and some fall in-store acoustic appearances to promote the new album
  • Any other shows had other bassists; FIRE played her 7/31 show + the Monster Bash on 8/24 + the fall tour + the Halloween show; Olive Sunday’s bassist was at the South Korea show in the fall
  • She had several November TV appearances, all performing “Ginger”: FIRE was on the 11/8 Music Fair and the 11/10 Hey!x3 (though Mine wasn’t), Ju-ken was on Music Station on 11/14 (along with Jun-ji on drums; Muta had a conflict). There was also an 11/2 appearance on TV Tokyo’s 「みゅーじん」, which I haven’t seen.

Gackt

  • 白銀の夜と雪の戯れ Feb 16-17 (Dears fan club ski trip)
  • participated in Platinum Box VIII, available 2008.03.03 (amazon.jp only)
  • 夜想会Ⅶin Paris (fan club trip), April 3-9? (posted tons of photos, but took them down)
  • in part of Gackt’s 「nine*nine」 set (2008.10.29, live CDs of all tours + an extra DVD + mini tour pamphlets; he was part of the Sixth Day & Seventh Night, Diabolos, and Drug Party tours) (details). There’s a new song “Justified” that’s used in the DVD (and also in a game); Koichi Terasawa was the bassist there (his entry; apparently, it was recorded a couple of years ago)
  • will participate in Platinum Box IX (was recorded in 2008; preview); amazon.jp says 2009.01.14 for the regular edition; one part will apparently be JOB (Chachamaru, You, Ju-ken, Jun-ji) answering questions from Dears members (details; half the page is information for ordering the Dears version)
  • Gackt Live Tour 2008-2009: Requiem et Reminiscence II ~再生と邂逅~ starting in December (detailed tour information; brief information in English)
  • is in the PV for the single “Jesus” (CD+DVD (PV) is Dears-only and was released 2008.11.26; CD-only version is available everywhere and was released 2008.12.03); he didn’t record; Jun-ji said Ikuo was the bassist (in Jun-ji’s 11/11 diary entry)); the Dears version also includes a group picture
  • Nov 21 on Music Station
  • Nov 29 on Music Fair
  • Dec 4 on Music Japan
  • Dec 19 on Music Fighter

VAMPS (HYDE of L’Arc~en~Ciel + K.A.Z of Oblivion Dust’s new project; also on myspace and at Vamprose)

  • in the “Love Addict” PV (single release 2008.07.02 as CD, CD+DVD with PV+making); possibly recorded (was recording for an unnamed artist to be announced later at the right time)
  • support for their tour (see official site or his site for dates); the tour final (Oct 28 at Zepp Tokyo) was recorded for the DVD to be released 2009.02.04
  • Aug 10 — Summer Sonic 08, Osaka
  • Oct 30-31, Halloween event at Zepp Tokyo; Oct 30 with Monoral / Tommy heavenly6 / Acid Black Cherry and Oct 31 with Monoral / Anna Tsuchiya / Breakerz
  • was interviewed in Monthly Vamps #3 (magazine); was also in #2, #3, #4, #5 in the live and backstage information and pictures and will presumably be in some part of future volumes, though there probably won’t be any more live reports; #5 covered the end of the tour and the Halloween shows.

Other musical

  • March 28 as a guest with wipe (Makoto Gomi, guitarist; label) at Shibuya Chelsea Hotel; he was their original (support) bassist from 1999-2000 (originally had for two songs on his schedule, but that was removed)
  • June 29 at morph-tokyo — support for Olive Sunday (as OLIVE SANMEI: 3 people + Ju-ken session), Shue, and Kazuma Endo at 『QQレコ発!! Welcome to the FUCKIN’ QUIZ vol.3 ~1st SINGLE&JU-KEN BIRTHDAY SPECIAL NIGHT!!~』 (sold out!)
  • June 30 at Shinjuku RUIDOK4 for 酒井愁 (Sakai Shue) デビュー15周年記念イベント! looking at the details, probably not the only bassist (commemorating the 15th anniversary of his debut; his myspace says his debut was in 1993 with Aion); setlist; it ended up being one song (the song he wrote for Shue’s solo album last year); there’s a live report at the Ishibashi Mail Magazine
  • mentioned in passing in a note of the day recording a TV appearance with Hoshimura Mai (星村麻衣, HP1, HP2); possibly Music Fighter on Aug 22; the timing is right and the bassist is not really shown, but is tall and looks to have the right sort of bass and hat.
  • not musical, but still an appearance: was at Zero Fighter Sept. 16, manager for the day? (1日店長体験, starting at 1pm); information was in a note of the day; the event is also on his schedule
  • Nov 1, TV appearance with Masaharu Fukuyama (福山雅治, HP 1, HP 2) on CDTV
